UGC Media Kit: What to Include, With a Copyable Layout

What belongs in a UGC media kit: playable samples, deliverables, turnaround, rate card, traits and booking. Includes copy-ready wording and two example tables.

A UGC media kit is a one-page (two at most) summary of your best vertical videos, what each order includes, how fast you deliver, what you charge and how to book you. Unlike an influencer kit, a UGC creator media kit centers on content quality, deliverables, turnaround and rates, not follower counts.

The reason is simple: the brand is buying a video file to run from its own accounts, not access to your audience. Your kit has to show the video is good, the scope is clear and the price is visible, so the brand can say yes without a long email thread.

The seven blocks of a UGC media kit

Use this order. It works as a template whether you build it as a link page, a doc or a PDF. Each block is short on purpose.

Block 1: intro line

Your name, niche and what you make, in one sentence. Copy and edit:

"UGC creator for skincare and wellness brands. I make testimonial, demo and unboxing videos, shot vertical and ready to run as ads."

Block 2: best work

Three to six vertical 9:16 videos, strongest first. Label each with its format so a brand can scan: "Testimonial," "Demo," "Unboxing," "Problem-solution." If you have no paid work yet, self-made samples are fine. Label them "portfolio sample" so nobody assumes they were client work.

Keep one niche per sample group. If you have skincare and gaming samples, split them or make a version of the kit per pitch.

Block 3: deliverables

What one standard order includes. Copy and edit:

"One 30–60s vertical video (9:16), one hook, captions on request, delivered as a downloadable file link, one round of revisions."

Then the exclusions, so nothing is assumed:

"Not included: raw footage, additional hooks, paid ad usage, whitelisting. Each is available as an add-on."

Block 4: turnaround

A standard timeline in days, when the clock starts and what rush costs. Copy and edit:

"Standard delivery: 5 business days from product arrival and approved brief."

Fill in your own number of days. For rush tiers, the ugcbios rate calculator's starting points are +25% for 72 hours, +50% for 48 hours and +100% for 24 hours, applied to production.

Block 5: rate card

Covered in the next section. Put it near the top half of the page, not buried at the end.

Block 6: on-camera traits

This lets a brand judge fit without guessing from one clip. List:

  • Age range and general look
  • Voice and accent, languages spoken
  • Setting you can film in: kitchen, bathroom, desk, gym, outdoors
  • Props or extras you can show: pets, kids, a car, a home gym
  • Anything you will not do on camera

Block 7: how to book

One contact method. A brand inquiry form beats "DM me" because it captures product, deadline, intended usage and budget in a single message. If you only have email, put the questions in a line: "Send me the product, deadline, where the video will run and your budget."

You can add one line about your following if it is real and relevant. Do not make it the headline.

Put your rate card in the kit

Visible prices speed up the conversation and screen out requests that do not fit. List the video price, a bundle price, extra hook, raw footage and whitelisting. Add usage rights as its own line, because paid usage is priced as a share of the video fee: 25% for 30 days, 50% for 3 months, 75% for 6 months and 100% for 12 months.

Under the table, write: "Price includes organic posting by the brand. Paid ad usage is priced separately by duration."

Example rate card block (Just starting, 30–60s videos)

These are the ugcbios rate calculator's starting points for a creator with 0–10 paid videos. Use the layout, then swap in your own numbers.

ItemPriceNotes
1 UGC video (30–60s)$115Includes 1 hook
3-video bundle$310Save 10%
Extra hook$30Per hook
Raw footage$30Per video
Whitelisting / Spark Ads+$100 per 30 daysSold in 1, 3, 6-month blocks

A Growing creator (10–50 paid videos) would use the same layout with $200 for one video, $540 for a 3-video bundle, $50 per extra hook and $50 for raw footage.

To generate your own numbers by experience level, use the free UGC rate calculator. For the reasoning behind each line, see UGC rates: what to charge per video, hook and add-on.

Example quote you can attach to the kit

Some creators add a sample quote so brands see how add-ons stack. Say a brand asks a Growing creator for three videos, one extra hook on each and 30 days of paid usage:

LineAmount
3 UGC videos (30–60s), $200 each$600
Bundle discount (10%)-$60
3 extra hooks, $50 each$150
Paid usage rights, 30 days (25% of video fee)$135
Total$825

This is an example, not a rule. It shows a brand that the quote is built from clear parts, which makes it easy to adjust one line instead of renegotiating everything.

A PDF cannot play video, so make a link the main version and keep the PDF as an attachment for brands that want to forward something internally. If you build a PDF in Canva, use one font, one accent color and large thumbnails that link to the playable videos.

ugcbios builds a media kit automatically from your portfolio, rate card and traits, and that is part of the free plan. Pro is $8/month or $72/year and adds a PDF media kit, a custom domain and no ugcbios branding. Browse example creator pages to see the portfolio, rate card and inquiry form layout in use.

Build it today: a one-hour checklist

  1. Pick your three strongest vertical videos and label each by format.
  2. Write your intro line and your traits list.
  3. Copy the deliverables and exclusions wording above and edit it.
  4. Set a standard turnaround in days and decide your rush tiers.
  5. Fill in a rate card with your own numbers.
  6. Add one booking method that collects the brief.
  7. Open it on your phone and check that the videos play and the prices are readable.

If your samples are thin, fix that first with how to build a UGC portfolio. A clean layout will not rescue weak videos.

Mistakes that make a kit forgettable

  • Leading with follower count. Lead with video; the brand is buying the file.
  • Linking an unlabeled Drive folder. Curate three to six samples instead, and name the format of each.
  • Hiding prices behind "rates upon request." It adds a step for the brand. Show the card.
  • Leaving out usage rights. Without a line on organic versus paid use, scope disputes show up after delivery.
  • Never updating it. Swap out your weakest sample whenever you land better work.

If you want the samples, rate card, traits and inquiry form on one page, you can set up a free ugcbios page and let it build the media kit for you. Start when your best three videos are ready at ugcbios login.

Questions creators ask

Do I need a UGC media kit if I have no brand deals yet?

Yes. A kit is mostly samples, deliverables, traits and a rate card, none of which require past clients. Use self-made sample videos and label them as portfolio samples.

Should I include my follower count in a UGC media kit?

Only as a small line, and only if it is relevant. Brands buying UGC are paying for a video to run on their own accounts, so lead with your work, deliverables and rates.

PDF or link: which format is better for a UGC media kit?

A link, because it can play your 9:16 videos. Offer a PDF as a secondary attachment for brands that want something to forward internally.

What should a UGC media kit template include?

An intro line, three to six labeled vertical samples, deliverables and exclusions, turnaround, a rate card, on-camera traits and one way to book. Keep it to one or two pages.
